Navigational radar simulator

This simulator is also made by Kongsberg. It is made up of 4 bridges which are like navigational bridges on merchant vessels. It is fitted with a number of devices and indicators used on a real vessel such as:

• log and gyrocompass repetitors,
• wind indicator,
• speed indicator,
• main engine revolutions indicator engine telegraph,
• radar fitted with ARPA,
• echo sounder,
• radiotelephone,
• others.

Exercises and training run with such simulator help to understand the information presented on a radar screen in order to identify objects properly. The users also learn to adjust the radar, despite different disturbances.
