- The distinction between watertight and weathertight sealing and resistance to weather conditions
- Identifying the critical components of hatch-cover systems
- Recognising typical defects, damage and causes of cargo damage due to moisture and inadequate maintenance
- Carrying out basic inspection and maintenance of hatch covers and hatch-cover sealing systems in line with MacGregor best practice
- Typical hatch-cover testing methods, including ultrasonic testing and the "water hose test"
- Applying appropriate precautions during the operation and maintenance of hatch covers

Certificate: a centre certificate provided to all participants after the training as confirmation of attendance. Validity: 5 years.

The training complies with the requirements of hatch-cover manufacturer MacGregor and, in principle, with the requirements of RightShip.
