Training goal
The training aims to prepare participants to pass the marine electrician certificate exam by providing knowledge and skills in:
- shipboard electrical engineering and automation
- electrical equipment maintenance
- vessel operation safety
Requirements
Requirements for enrollment:
- completion of at least 1 year of studies at Maritime Education Institution (MJE) type A/B or 1 year of education at MJE type C with sea practice (3 months on vessels ≥400 kW)
- for MJE type D graduates – 6-month sea practice
- equivalent qualifications: higher education in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics
Certificate
Marine Electrician Certificate issued by the Maritime Qualification Training Center (CMKE) after passing the exam. The exam covers three functions: electrical engineering, maintenance, and ship care. Documents must be submitted to CMKE at least 21 days before the exam.
